IT Program Manager

Job Description:

The Consumer, Dealer, and Owners Experience Department of American Honda Motor is seeking a highly-motivated, experienced IT Sr. Project Manager who will lead the project team in alignment with the department, divisional, and business unit objectives. This role will provide governance and oversight of end-to-end delivery, resource management, administrative direction, and leadership guidance and support for members of his/her team. The Sr. PM will be working closely with multiple areas of North American Honda, in addition to managing vendor suppliers.

Daily Tasks Performed
Technical Program Management:

• Utilize scaled agile methodologies to manage and deliver programs efficiently.
• Establish KPIs and metrics to monitor programs' technical performance and provide reports for senior management.
• Ensure that all programs adhere to quality standards and best practices through effective quality control processes.
• Provide technical guidance and support to development teams, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions.
• Partner with Project Managers and Product Owners to develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring timely delivery and alignment of priorities across various projects and groups.
• Partner with Project Managers and Product Owners to manage project budgets, resources, and risks, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints and meet program goals.
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
• Achieve the QCD goals: including schedule, budget and quality commitments. Effectively link IT activity to business outcomes.
• Ensure the resolution of incidents and management of problems that impact the delivery.

What will this person be working on
Develops the program strategy, supporting business case and various enterprisewide highlevel project plan

• Ensures integration of projects and adjusts project scope, timing, and budgets as needed, based on the needs of the business
• Communicates with IT leadership, business leadership and IT Business Consultants to communicate program strategy, direction and changes
• Responsible for delivering all projects contained in the IT project portfolio on time, within budget and meeting the strategic and business requirements
• Responsible for tracking key project milestones and recommending adjustments to Project Managers
• Partners with senior leadership of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise
• Works under general direction of senior level management
• Responsible for managing all aspects of the design, development and implementation of the program
• Directs and mentors a team of project managers, portfolio managers and/or other project management staff
