Job Title: IT Quality/Test Engineer

We're seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with a solid understanding of both manual and automated testing methodologies, specifically in API and Performance testing. The ideal candidate will have experience working with tools like Karate for API testing and JMeter for performance testing. 

Position’s Contributions to Work Group: 
• Engage in API and performance testing activities, contributing to test plans and cases for API functionality and performance metrics.
• Collaborate closely with development and product teams to comprehend testing requirements.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for API and performance testing.
• Participate in regression testing initiatives to identify and resolve issues.
• Analyze test results and performance metrics, providing insights to stakeholders.
• Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in API and performance testing methodologies

Typical task breakdown:

Education & Experience Required: 
• NO degree and/or Associates, must have 10+ years’ experience required in this capacity. 
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s degree must have 8+ years’ experience required. 

Technical Skills 
• Fundamental understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
Strong eagerness to learn and grow in the field of software testing.
• Proven experience in manual and automated software testing, including hands-on experience with API testing frameworks such as Karate, Postman, or Rest Assured for API testing or JMeter for performance testing.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
• Familiarity with version control systems and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is advantageous.
