IT Systems Engineer

Description
Responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining the computer systems and networks of an organization.
Provide technical support and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
Plan, design, and implement technology solutions that meet the business needs and objectives of the organization
Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network devices
Monitor and optimize the performance, security, and availability of IT systems and networks
Provide technical support and guidance to users and staff on IT-related issues and queries
Diagnose and resolve technical problems and escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or vendors
Document IT policies, procedures, and best practices and ensure compliance with IT standards and regulations
Research and evaluate new technologies and solutions and recommend improvements and upgrades
Collaborate with other IT staff, project managers, and stakeholders on IT projects and initiatives

Requirements 
Proven experience as an IT Engineer or similar role
Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, hardware, software, and applications
Proficient in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
Basic familiarity with Linux and MAC operating systems
Familiar with databases, and scripting
Exposure to the following products and technologies
Cisco Catalyst and Meraki switches
Cisco ASA and general firewall knowledge
Azure cloud networking, infrastructure, server systems and AVD
Office 365 systems (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, etc.)
VMware clusters
SAN/NAS
Zscaler Internet Access
Silver Peak SDWAN appliances
