Java Architect with DB2

Description 

• This position will be in support of the NYS Tax Modernization Program. This program will encompass multiple projects to modernize legacy systems within the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance, which is responsible for billions in state revenue.  Some of the major areas under modernization include:
• Collections and Accounts Receivable
• Taxpayer Accounting
• Withholding Tax Returns Processing

Duties 

• Analysis of requirements and system design work.
• Presentations of system designs to the users and technical communities.
• Development of detailed design documents and program specifications.
• Coding, unit and integration testing of programming assignments.
• Writing and tuning SQL.
• Technical Support of user testing efforts.
• Performance tuning of new and existing applications.
• Production support tasks including analysis of issues, propose and implement solutions.
• Mentoring of less experienced staff would be required.

Mandatory Requirements 

• Experience (12+Years)
• Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large scale software system

Requirements 

• This is an 100% Onsite
• 36 months experience with a Government Taxation organization, which includes technical design, development, maintenance and end user support of tax or audit systems.
• 84 months experience with Java programming in an IBM development Environment using IDE of IBM's Rational Application Developer (RAD) that are built with Websphere Application Server (WAS) and demonstrated experience with EAD4J and JADE frameworks.
• 84 months of experience in system analysis and design experience for multi-tiered transactional systems and writing technical design specification documents for multifaceted component-based systems.
• 36 months of Websphere Integration Development (WID) that are built using Websphere Process Server (WPS)
• for designing and implementing applications using BPEL Processes, State Machines and SCA/SDO components
• 84 months of IBM DB2 experience working with DB2 databases and experience with XML schemas schemas (definition, querying and automated generation).
• 84 months experience with Application performance analysis and tuning.
