Java Developer

Job Description: 

SCAL Medical Informatics Group: This position sits within in an interdisciplinary agile Medical Informatics group developing Client applications / solutions for a large healthcare organization. They build a variety of tools for the customer around AI, Machine Learning, NLP, Data Science. This is a highly skilled group of Physicians, Data Scientists and Software Engineers.

The Software Engineer is expected to develop in Java, Python, and SQL. The work will require the ability to use Airflow to automate our processes. Ability to work on Azure and deploy into Kubernates.

Must Have 
5+ years of experience in programming in Java and Python

5 + years of experience writing SQL

Experience with administering Kubernetes as well as deploying applications and resources to existing Kubernetes environments

Strong knowledge of docker and container ecosystems

Hands on experience developing Jenkins pipeline

End to end knowledge of DevOps practices

Ability to work with source control tools such as Git

Troubleshooting and resolving build and deployment issues in Jenkins environment

Expert level use of Linux/Unix and Windows environments

Nice to have

Experience with Azure and Azure Kubernetes Service

Experience with administering Apache Airflow as well as authoring DAGs in Airflow
