Job Description

We are seeking a Java Developer with expertise in programming and building API’s using modern OO languages, to join our team of Developers located in the East Midlands.

The successful applicant will be required to work a hybrid working model, of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote in the East Midlands.

What You Will Bring

 

  • Proficiency in Java, J2EE, Spring Frameworks
  • In-depth understanding of SOLID principles, SOA, HTTP and REST
  • In-depth understanding of RESTful API design principles
  • Proven experience in leading teams to leverage approaches such as Pair Programming, TDD and BDD
  • Knowledge of relational databases, including SQL and ORM technologies
  • Experience in working with AWS cloud-based infrastructure
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

     

About The Role/ Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop Java-based systems that meet business requirements
  • Develop and maintain APIs using REST
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve critical issues and bugs
  • Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, retrospective and stand-ups Perform code reviews to ensure that all code is of the highest quality
