Description

Responsibilities

 

  • Collaborate with engineers, geoscientists, data managers, and software developers to address challenges in the oil and gas sector.
  • Implement, deploy, and support geostatistical analysis, geoprocessing, and geocoding tools.
  • Maintain and enhance existing GIS solutions and data workflows.
  • Integrate diverse datasets from multiple systems spatially.

     

Requirements

 

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of GIS and ESRI technologies experience.
  • Proficiency in ESRIs product platform (Desktop, Pro, ArcPy, ArcGIS Server, GeoEvent Server, AGO, Portal, ESRI Javascript API, WebApp Builder, etc.).
  • Strong Python and SQL skills.
  • Knowledge of geospatial workflows (geostatistical analysis, geoprocessing, geocoding).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

     

Good To Have

 

  • Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: Python, Javascript, C#/.NET, Java.
  • SQL and/or Oracle Database management (especially ArcSDE).
  • Prior work experience in the upstream oil and gas industry.
  • Prior work experience with large-scale data management systems.
  • Experience working on teams following Agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience working with surveying and remote sensing datasets (CAD, LiDAR, rasters, etc.).
  • Experience participating in the user-centered design process.
  • Knowledge of production systems like ProCount and Aries.
  • Experience with analytical tools like Spotfire or Tableau.
