Job Description:

 

Provide tier-2/3 support for Java-based production applications, responding to incidents and service requests in a timely manner. - Collaborate closely with development teams to understand recent deployments and to be prepared for potential issues. - Perform root cause analysis on production incidents and propose solutions to prevent recurrence. - Monitor application performance, system configuration, and system/server logs to identify potential issues proactively. - Assist in deploying application releases and updates in production environments, adhering to the company’s change management policies and procedures. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and compatibility of new and existing systems. - Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, and support manuals. - Ensure system security by following best practices and complying with information security policies.

 

**Qualifications** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 1-3 years of experience in production support, including experience with Java-based applications. - Proficient in Java programming, with hands-on experience troubleshooting Java applications.

 

**Skills** - Strong understanding of Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, and related technologies. - Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL). - Experience with application servers like Tomcat, WebLogic, or JBoss. - Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments and shell scripting. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. - Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document and explain technical details clearly. - Familiarity with version control systems like Git. - Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus
