Position Description

The position will work in the Corporate Systems PMRA system team, which handles the Firms front office compensation calculation processes. In this position, you will analyze and design technology approaches and develop Clienthitectures and technology solutions. You will actively participate in the development and implementation of technical solutions. You will also engage with business stakeholders on a regular basis and develop new business initiatives. Specifically, you will:

 

  • Designs an application's technical infrastructure, such as specific data structures, programming languages, interfaces, utilities, and testing approaches.
  • Lead and/or participate in requirement gathering and issue resolution meetings with technical and business resources. Capable of producing comprehensive business requirement definitions, functional specifications, system designs and technical specifications in compliance with Point72 technical standards.
  • Create new software applications and deliver ongoing software maintenance and enhancements that support PMRA systems.
  • Be responsible for tasks related to system upgrades, system resiliency, capacity improvements, automation, controls, as well as integration with internal and external vendors and services.
  • Work with DevOps teams to manage, resolve operational issues and leverage CI/CD platforms, follow DevOps best practices within the team and projects.
  • Continuously improve the platforms, using the latest technologies and software development ideas

     

Requirements

 

  • 10+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on JAVA. Experience with C#, .Net also a plus.
  • Proven experience in design, optimization, and modeling within complex application landscapes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose innovative solutions to meet business needs.
  • Strong DB skills including modelling and development.
  • Proficiency in frameworks such as React/Angular/Spring
  • Experience with Python programing
  • Experience with micro services Clienthitecture
  • Experience with Kafka or other messaging systems
  • Experience with Appian or other workflow systems
  • Experience with front-to-back application design with proven experience in scaling with consideration for performance, re-runnability and code maintenance.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills

  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards while working with sensitive data

     

Nice-to-Have Any Of Following

 

  • Experience with Databricks or other similar platforms.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with CI/CD, Jenkins and GitHub.
  • Knowledge of DataDog, Docker
  • General understandings of accounting principles and terminology
