Title/Position: JavaScript Developer III - (React.js)
Type: Contract, Contract to Perm Options (Min 6 Months on assignment)
Location: Mechanicsburg, PA

Security Clearance Required: None (Not required at time of hire, however the qualified candidate must have the ability to successfully obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance when hired on FT/Direct).
US Citizenship Requirements: Yes

Target Start Date: Asap
Work Hours: Standard, Mon - Fri
Work Site: Hybrid, (Candidate is expected to be onsite at the Mechanicsburg, PA office 2-3 days per week. (This requirement could increase in the future.)
Program assignment supports: Software Factory

Preferred Education: BS Degree
Required Education: AS Degree, and/or Technical Certifications and/or Licenses with related work experience

Work environment, Projects, & Team Overview:
Must Have Experience: Develop user-facing features using React.js
Overview of work environment/workspace: Collaborative small agile team onsite 2+ days per week.
Role Interaction: Support developing application to support needs
Size of Team: 2 - 8 team members (dependent on project)
Details of the project: Currently the Software Factory is supporting multiple domains and sizes of .net development projects.
To Succeed: Independently grow both technical and domain knowledge as career progresses.
Biggest challenge: Learning the business domain on some of our larger projects enough to design, build, and test quality software.
Growth & Development: Yes, with multiple projects/teams, growth exists in both technical areas and responsibility for larger projects.


Seeking an experienced JavaScript developer who is proficient with React.js. The primary focus of the selected candidate would be developing user interface components including implementation and execution that follows well-known React.js workflows. The selected candidate will ensure these components and the overall application are robust and easy to manage. Commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality products is important.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop user-facing features using React.js
• Develop modern, highly responsive web-based UI
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Translate designs into high-quality code
• Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
• Coordinate with various teams working on distinct layers and processes
• Have knowledge of accessibility/UX best practices and Section 508 compliance, and/or WCAG 2.0 standards
• Administer Developer training.
• Conduct Code Reviews

Basic Qualifications
"must have MINIMUM requirements to be considered for the position and ensure minimum quals fall within the minimum Client job code requirements.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance (once hired on FT/Direct).
• Must have 5-8+ years JAVA experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4-8 years of software engineering experience.
• 5-8+ years of experience with React.js
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages.
• Experience with SASS
• Familiarity with RESTful web services, Service workers
• Hands-on experience with response frameworks such as Bootstrap
• Knowledge of modern dev tools Webpack, Babel, NPM, Enzyme
• Experience with UI design
• Knowledge of performance testing frameworks including Enzyme and Jest
• Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software
• Experience with GIT
• Strong, self-motivated desire to learn new programming languages, tools, frameworks, and techniques.
• Ability to complete tasking independently with minimal direct supervision.
• Ability to work and collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplined develop team.
• Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kendo UI for React
• Experience with Progressive Web Apps (PWA)
• Familiar with modern browser APIs (Permission, Promise, Offline Storage, Notifications, etc)
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Experience with Large-scale application development
• Good project management skills
• Active DoD security clearance.
