JavaScript Test Automation Senior Engineer

Required Skills

We are looking for an experienced QA engineer, proficient in test automation with Python(PyTest) or JS (Jest), ideally familiar with both programming languages.
Experience in manual testing
Basic knowledge; ability to work through the UI or through the console with the simplest commands in Git: amend, git fetch, pull, checkout. Understanding what squash, HEAD, rebase are
Experience with test framework. Understanding soft/hard assertions. Plus differences between deepEqual and sameMembers, sameOrderedMembers. Difference between Equal and strictEqual
Experience in IDE (WebStorm/IntellijIDEA/Eclipse)
Good understanding of the basics of Quality Assurance strategies and methodologies (smoke/sanity testing, regression testing, functional and non-functional testing);
Attentiveness, ability to analyze and solve independently working issues.
Desire to actively develop and learn new things.
Good communication skills, willingness/ability to work in a team (particularly in a distributed one)

Activities

Quality validation of related product.
Issue investigation and resolution coordination of issues and defects within technology and with external vendors.
Defects creation, prioritization, verification.
Collaboration and communication via daily standups and grooming meetings.
Activities coordination between Manual and Automation testers (Demo for manual QA).
Automation of Regression, UI, Web Service Testing, E2E tests.
Developing and implementing framework libraries to support test automation scripts and validating execution reliability.
Code review and quality assurance of code commits by team members.
Extensive cooperation with (internal and external) technology suppliers.
Optimization of test execution coverage across available resources.
Root cause analysis and documenting the findings.
Test automation coverage reporting.
