About the Company

Join a leading Japanese multinational company renowned for its innovation and technology solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Storage Engineer to join our team in Pune on a hybrid working model.

Position Summary

As a Storage Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our storage infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of our storage systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Storage Management:
    • Manage and maintain Storage VSP / USP / USP-VM.
    • Monitor and optimize storage performance to ensure efficient operation.
  • SAN Management:
    • Administer and configure Brocade / Cisco SAN Switches.
    • Ensure SAN fabric health and performance.
  • Unified Compute Platform (UCP) / Hitachi Integrated Container Services (HICS) / Hitachi Tiered Storage Manager (HTSM):
    • Manage and support UCP, HICS, and HTSM environments.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Object Storage / HCP:
    • Manage and support Object Storage and Hitachi Content Platform (HCP).
  • VMware:
    • Administer VMware environments including VCenter, NDM, and UVM.
  • Backup Solutions:
    • Implement and manage backup solutions using Commvault and Veeam.
  • Replication Technologies:
    • Configure and manage replication technologies such as Shadow Image, TrueCopy, and Hitachi Universal Replicator (HUR).
  • Network and Linux:
    • Provide support for network-related issues.
    • Manage and maintain Linux servers.

Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • 6-8 years of relevant experience in storage engineering and management.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Strong expertise in Storage VSP / USP / USP-VM.
    • Proficient in performance monitoring and optimization.
    • Experience with Brocade / Cisco SAN Switches.
    • Knowledge of UCP / HICS / HTSM.
    • Familiarity with Object Storage / HCP.
    • Proficient in VMware (VCenter, NDM, UVM).
    • Experience with backup solutions such as Commvault and Veeam.
    • Understanding of replication technologies including Shadow Image, TrueCopy, and HUR.
    • Basic knowledge of network configurations and Linux server management.
  • Attributes:
