Description

Job responsibilities:

  • 2+ years of device/application development experience handset manufacturers, wireless network operators, network equipment vendors, and/or chipset vendors in device/application development capacity is highly desirable.
  • 2+ years in 3G/LTE/5G NR or other Wireless protocol stack development
  • Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in 3GPP 5G NR/LTE/3G feature design and development mainly of PDCP, RLC and MAC protocol stacks but also knowledge of L1/PHY is beneficial
  • Experience in consuming Web and Application Services on Android devices.
  • Experience with network test equipment, such as Ixia, Spirent, Fluke Networks, Spectrum Analyzers, Site Survey Planning tools, and Traffic Generators Skilled in developing automation utilizing SCPI, LabView, TCL, PERL, and Python programming languages.
  • Strong knowledge of the general mobile landscape, existing and emerging technologies and architectures.
  • Excellent knowledge of 3GPP standards (GSM, UMTS, HSPA, LTE, 5G NR), 3GPP2 (1xRTT / EVDO) and/or OMA.


Desired Skills:

  • Chipset modem parser development and logging interface development.
  • Experience in Wireless Standards 3GPP and 3GPP2.
  • Experience in domain knowledge such as 5G NSA, LTE, CDMA, EvDO, WCDMA, GSM/EDGE, TCP/IP.
  • Experience with wireless networks, architecture and protocols.
  • Strong knowledge in LTE and network architecture specifically focused on Radio Access Network.
  • Strong knowledge in LTE Air Interface , PHY, MAC, RLC, RRC and PDCP layers.
  • Experience with wireless data and IP networks.
  • Expertise in detailed analysis of 3GPP specifications (Design and Development experience is preferred).
  • Expertise in system level simulations is must.
  • Experience in Wireless modem logging, analysis, capturing and understanding of modem/application processor architectures.
  • Experience with protocol analyzers, test tools such as XCAL, QXDM, Wireshark, QCAT, MA, STT.
  • Experience in developing system performance, KPI measurement, and Parameter Analysis.
