Summary: We are seeking a Junior MES Engineer to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) within our manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze production processes, configure MES software, and provide technical expertise to optimize manufacturing operations. Roles & Responsibilities:
MES System Design and Configuration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and assist in designing MES solutions that meet manufacturing process needs and business objectives.
- Configure and customize MES software to fulfill specific manufacturing requirements, including process workflows, data collection, and reporting functionalities.
- Conduct initial testing and validation of MES systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
System Implementation and Integration:
- Support the implementation and deployment of MES systems in manufacturing facilities, ensuring successful delivery within defined timelines and budgets.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and contractors, to integrate MES systems with other manufacturing systems, such as ERP, SCADA, and PLCs.
- Assist in system testing and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues during implementation and integration phases.
System Maintenance and Support:
- Monitor the performance and availability of MES systems, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and disruptions to production operations.
- Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting system errors, and guiding them in utilizing MES functionalities effectively.
- Collaborate with IT teams to manage system upgrades, patches, and security enhancements.
Process Improvement and Optimization:
- Analyze manufacturing processes, data, and workflows to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvement using the MES system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, including automation of manual tasks, reduction of cycle times, and enhancement of production workflows through the utilization of MES functionalities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing data analysis and insights to drive informed decision-making.
Documentation and Training:
- Create and maintain documentation, including system configuration, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on utilizing MES functionalities, ensuring proper system usage and adherence to standard operating procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Basic understanding of production processes and related systems
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of Programming languages and DB management
- Experience in performance optimization for systems and databases
- Programming language skills: C#.NET, MS-SQL, JAVA
- Basic understanding of designing and developing interface programs for equipment automation
