Junior Software Engineer

The FIS Cross-Asset Trading and Risk Platform (formerly Front Arena) helps firms quickly enter new markets and support new strategies. We deliver real-time controls for trading, order management, profit & loss and position keeping with risk management, all on one platform for both sell-side and buy-side.

Your role As a Junior Software Engineer in the Workflow team, you will be challenged with a wide range of tasks. You will be involved in the design, development, and maintenance of PRIME – a client application within the FIS Cross-Asset Trading and Risk Platform. The Workflow team is responsible for the development of trade entry frameworks and applications, workflows for life-cycle events and back-office operations. The development is typically done using C++, Python, and other native techniques.

We believe you are a Software Engineer with some experience in developing software in C or C++ (or equivalent). You are keen on taking responsibility for your own development. Your responsibilities will, besides development, include automated testing, support assistance and maintenance.

We Expect You To Have The Following

Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering Physics, or similar degree
0-3 years of experience in system development
Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming
Experience with C/C++ and Python is an advantage
Knowledge and interest in financial mathematics
Have capacity to deliver high quality software in a high pace environment
Fluent English
