How do perform backups and restores to local and network drives
How to implement security using functional IDs
How to install SQL server instances into and existing environment
Must be able to learn the schema of the DB for our finance system, at least the 50 100 primary tables
Be able to create ad-hoc queries to produce output, for example, "Provide a list in Excel format for active employees hired since 1/1/2000
Given the above query request, they should be able to ask the client if other fields are required, i.e. should gender, age, phone # be included in the report
Be able to analyze and correct significant performance issues
Have general SQL responsibility for 30 SQL databases (all smaller than our finance system)
Should also be able to use Microsoft Access and create ODBC connections
Should know how to set collation on a database
Must be able to communicate effectively with personnel in the Finance department
Having some experience in migrating to AWS or Azure is a nice-to-have
Having some experience with PowerShell is a nice-to-have
