Lab IT Cyber Security Cybersecurity Test Engineer Resource

Resource will be expected to support the following for QC Lab Instrument PCs (Approx. 80) that are to be transitioned from Crowdstrike Security Software to Trend Micro, Qualys and Tanium.

Test Phase:

·       Select assets/configurations to test –

o   No duplication

o   Leverage any common applications across environments

o   Only test critical to production applications and infer findings to lower criticality assets

·       Spin up isolated dev environment(s) with VM clones of existing assets

·       Configure logging/trending on assets

·       Execute standard application functionality and admin tasks (

·       “Soak test” systems – the logging trending should persist for 1+ month (to ensure

·       Analyse and categorise results, e.g. A clash with another cyber solution is a lesser problem than clash with an OT application or technology. This will help identify exclusion design during production rollout.

·       Agree and report findings and recommendations (preferably a matrix of applications vs tools for simplicity)

·       If during the above we are finding multiple issues with any of the candidate solutions we should consider option to stop further testing of it on basis of unsuitability for OT environment.
