The client is currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced Land Development Manager. The right candidates will work with the development team to coordinate pre-construction and construction activities including entitlements, design, permitting coordination, proforma analysis, engineering and construction oversight, creating and maintaining relationships with builders, as well as reporting and project delivery.

Role Overview:

Create, review, and maintain all due diligence property documents and reports to collaborate with the Land Acquisition team on potential development opportunities.

Assist with due diligence during the land acquisition process.

Ensure the completion of all due diligence work before the expiration of the contingency period.

Manage and coordinate resources to meet all entitlement needs for land acquisitions.

Monitor development phases and entitlement processes post-closing.

Participate in the design process.

Work with the engineering department during plat and construction plan submittals.

Assist in moving projects through municipalities and counties.

Anticipate and address issues to keep projects moving.

Develop business relationships with municipalities, builders, and utility contractors.

Build, maintain, update, and analyze development budgets and schedules.

Manage the land/lot purchase contract process with the assistance of our internal corporate counsel.

Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve our sellers and customers, enhancing the goodwill and profit of the company.

Travel weekly to identify project status, progress, and risk management, and track status in our project management software.

 

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, accounting, finance or similar program

5+ years of experience Land Development

Four years of related experience and/or training preferably in Texas

Must have a valid driver's license

Strong Communication Skills

Creative thinking and attention to detail

Self-motivated, Team Player
