Lead Alation Developer

Job Description

• Design, develop, and implement Alation data catalogue solutions.
   
• Integrate Alation with other enterprise systems, subplans. BI tools, data warehouses, and CRM systems
   
• Create and manage Alation data governance composes and workflows.
   
• Automate Alation tasks using scripts and APIs.
   
• Troubleshoot and resolve Alation issues.
   
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and develop solutions.
   
• Stay up to date with the latest Alation features and best practices.
   

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
   
• Experience in working with Alation Data Catalogue.
   
• Experience in data governance and data management.
   
• Experience in requirement gathering, technical design, and metadata load strategy definition.
   
• Experience in scanning different systems with connectors, configuring JDBC drivers, extracting and building data lineage, debugging logs.
   
• Experience in using Alation Data catalogue REST API.
   
• Experience/understanding in using Alation compose.
   
• Understanding of access control and role configuration in Alation.
   
• Experience in configuring and customizing dashboards in Alation.
   
• Experience in designing and implementing migration plans.
   
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
   
• Understanding of Database concepts, SQL, knowledge/experience in Python
