Description

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, architecture, and development of robust and scalable Android applications.
Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend engineers to define and implement new features.
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of Android applications.
Mentor and guide junior Android engineers, conducting code reviews and ensuring best practices.
Develop and maintain reusable components and libraries for future use.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and Android development technologies, ensuring the team adopts the best practices.
Identify and fix bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other critical issues in the codebase.
Collaborate with the QA team to ensure the app is thoroughly tested and adheres to quality standards.
Manage project timelines, ensuring that the team delivers on time and within scope.
Optimize mobile applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for smooth and efficient deployments.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
10+ years of professional experience in Android development with a proven track record of leading teams or projects.
Proficiency in Kotlin and Java for Android development.
Strong understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack components, and modern architectural patterns (MVVM, MVP, etc.).
Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to backend services.
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
Experience with Android performance tools and optimization techniques.
Strong knowledge of the Android ecosystem, mobile app life cycle, and Google Play store guidelines.
Experience with unit testing, code coverage tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
Ability to work independently and remotely, managing your time and priorities effectively.
