You'll be responsible for (Responsibilities):
- The Sr. TechOps Systems Engineer will help manage all aspects of the production 24x7 datacenters, disaster-recovery datacenters, internal R&D datacenters, and all internal and customer-facing remote access network connectivity.
- Responsibilities will include Like Installing, managing and upgrading development, QA and production Linux systems; installing, managing and upgrading development and QA databases.
- Supporting customer-facing gateway VPNs managing corporate networks/
- Performance analysis, capacity planning, and scalability monitoring.
- Auditing and enforcement of network security and security policies; maintenance of systems at remote datacenter and automated site-to-site failover systems.
- The Sr. TechOps Systems Engineer will be expected to spend approximately 60% of time in Linux systems administration, 30% in database and other data storage systems administration and 10% in internal corporate system management.
Skills Required
- At least five years experience administering production-grade SaaS applications (or internally-facing applications of a similar profile) on Linux systems in a 24x7 business-critical environment.
- Experience deploying containerized Tomcat-based applications including automated cluster deployment, integration with CI/CD systems, experience with container management systems such as Kubernetes a plus.
- Strong experience in complex systems analysis applied to proactive planning and rapid response emphasizing site stability and performance
- Experience (ideally in a full-stack administration role) with Oracle, Hadoop, and Cassandra data stores.
- Experience with SOLR search index servers in mission-critical clustered multisite configurations.
- Familiarity with the development of scripts to aid in streamlining maintenance and other processes; bash or Perl scripting is preferred, but we’re relatively agnostic.
- Experience in administration in both on-prem and elastic cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP) systems (migration to cloud experience a strong plus)
- Experience implementing monitoring and alerting systems capable of supporting high SLAs
- Experience with email delivery systems intricacies – DKIM, whitelisting, etc.
- Experience integrating disparate systems in a secure manner via VPNs, PGP/GPG, secure FTP, SSH, etc.
- General experience with LAN/WAN networking, Cisco routers in enterprise/campus roles, NAT/PAT, Cisco- and IP Tables-based firewalls and VPNs, and the concepts surrounding VLANs.
- Understanding of DNS as well as routing protocols such as RIP and BGP.
- Ability to analyze and diagnose networking problems through the use of standard network tools such as packet sniffers and analyzers.
- Experience with load balancing, and network site failover via BGP for example. F5 L7 load balancing, including SSL offloading and DPI.
- Proven ability to develop and write procedures and document processes. Familiarity with writing and maintaining policy documentation is a plus.
- Thorough understanding of data network security options in a TCP/IP environment including firewalling concepts, separation of privileges, intrusion detection, and incident response.
You'll have (Qualification & Experience):
- 5 years of experience with Oracle Admin Role
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking, MIS, or a related field and at least 5 years' applicable experience. More experience will be considered a bonus.
