Lead Oracle & Postgres DBA

Notes on the role:

• Lead Oracle DBA and Postgres – need full DBA skills on both databases. Needs Oracle 19c experience since they are 100% on that version. They are running Oracle on Linux.

• They are 100% on AWS (EC2, RDS, REDSHIFT, SCT, DMS, S3, SNS, EBS, Lambda, Elastic DRS, AWS Backup, Storage Gateway, FSx, CloudWatch, etc.)

• They are moving towards infrastructure as a code

• Need Automation Skills (Ansible, Git CI/CD pipeline, Liquibase, Maven) and Python scripting skills.

• Oracle is on the Infra side (Server & DB Provisioning, back up/recoveries, DB performance, ElasticDR (recovery service in AWS) DataGuard, DevOps – GitLab, CICD, Maven, tools to automation DB deployments

• Needs all aspects of Postgres Admin & RDS on application and infrastructure

• They are migrating Oracle databases to Postgres. They are moving from Oracle to Postgres.
