Description

In this role, you will be leading a team of Unix Admins with your focus on key challenges including: resource utilization in a heterogeneous compute environment, evolving private/public cloud strategy, capacity modeling, and planning for multi-year growth and scaling. To Be Considered: A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in crafting and managing large-scale compute infrastructure. Proficiency in cluster configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, and Salt. Hands-on experience with job schedulers like IBM/Platform LSF, SLURM, Marathon, and Chronos. Knowledge of and/or hands-on experience deploying PaaS microservices, including Docker and Docker Swarm. A robust grasp of networking principles and the implementation of Unix-based infrastructure solutions. Familiarity with fast distributed and network-attached storage solutions, as well as Linux file systems. The capability to recommend and implement solutions for enhancing OS performance and reliability. Hands-on experience delivering compute services through public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
