Description

Education: University or higher vocational degree and certification in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline is preferred.
Experience: Minimum five (5) years of Technology Infrastructure - Systems, experience is preferred.
Operational Technology hardware and integration experience is preferred.
Skills: the following are strongly recommended/critical:
Experience with Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.)
Experience with Shell scripting, VMWare, and vSphere administration.
Experience with containerization.
Experience with hyper-converged infrastructure stack.
Understanding of messaging frameworks, and application stacks.
Experience working with desired state configuration tools.
Working experience with Kubernetes.
Application lifecycle and IT Service Management concepts.
Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
Ability to effectively document technical designs and solutions.
Dependable ability to be self-driven and lead complex programs independently. Competent in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, navigating ambiguity with ease.
Good understanding of Industrial automation and enterprise environments.
Experience with agile principles and methods.
Experience with applying WOW (Lean) standards and tooling.
Problem Solving sounding experience.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
Manage configurations, deployment, and support of Linux systems and containers in production and lower environments.
Management, install, upgrade, and support server applications on Linux systems.
Day-to-day analysis and support for troubleshooting applications and operating systems, general recurring maintenance, and server installations.
Development of automation scripts for routine tasks.
Deploy and maintain systems using state configuration tools such as Terraform and other tools.
Perform infrastructure needs assessment and evaluate new technology to improve and maintain program infrastructure.
Recommend appropriate actions to improve operations. Recommend and design new systems/software as appropriate.
Implement server patches on a scheduled or as-needed basis.
Engage external vendors when needed to solve problems or bugs.
Ensure proper integration of vendor engineering solutions into the overall terminal engineering documentation.
Ensure SLAs are met daily.
Act as a member of the Infrastructure Team by providing monitoring, investigation, and ongoing support to help maintain the Google Cloud environment, Linux systems, and storage.
Collaborate with the regional platform business analyst to identify opportunities to modernize, streamline, and standardize the terminal tech portfolio.
With the Terminal IT Infrastructure head, define the terminal Tech portfolio modernization, infrastructure simplification, and applications rationalization.
Participates in the development of root cause analysis for major incidents impacting terminal operations and ensures identified countermeasures are deployed as planned.
