Local Clinical Specialist

Indianapolis, IN (Onsite)

12 months Contract with possibility to extension

The selected candidate will work in an assigned geographical district, but may be asked to support other areas at times to support a large scale incident. The candidate will be expected to meet at a designated location each work day for arranged team transportation. Candidates electing to travel directly to the worksite using their own vehicle will do so at their own cost (no expenses permitted for this travel), and must be communicated/approved with the client ahead of time. Do you accept this requirement.

Candidate is required to have a valid LPN or RN Indiana Professional License or current license from an NLC participating state.

Local Clinical Specialist, RN or LPN License Required. 

The Local Clinical Specialist reports to the Local Emergency Operations Site Coordinator. Client is looking to hire medical personnel to assist in local clinical initiatives during Public Health related emergencies or outbreaks. Personnel will work in an assigned geographical district but may be required at times to consolidate in order to support a large-scale incident. Applicants are expected to maintain licensure in their existing medical field (RN, LPN, Etc.). Perform assigned tasks and assist in inventory and maintenance of assigned medical equipment and supplies. Maintain proficiency or receive routine training clinical procedures based on assignment.  Serve as primary clinician in assigned team conducting medical related tests for general public during times of crisis.

•     Work will be accomplished as part of a larger mobile team.

•     Individual will be assigned to a specific district mobile unit.

•     Work will begin and end at a predetermined location.

•     Personnel will ride to and from sites in the mobile unit unless otherwise authorized by direct supervisor.

•     Agency will provide all supplies and equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks.

Required:

Indiana Professional License or License from an NLC participating state required at time of submission.

Highly desired:

  • Triage experience
  • Prior experience and comfortable working with pediatric patients
  • Emergency response experience ( emergency management, hospital incident management, emergency medical)
  • Good bed side manners/professionalism

Desired:

Current CPR Certification.
