Logistics Data Analyst

Our client is seeking to hire a Logistics Analyst, who will be a key member of the newly created Global Logistics Sourcing Team. In this role, you will be helping the Logistics Director and Sourcing team to create and standardize processes for data mining, reporting and visualization. You will be providing necessary support to collect, interpret and analyze logistics spend data and market trends. In addition, you will assist the team in making informed decisions in a fast- paced environment. You will prepare KPI reports for periodic reporting, business reviews and budget planning.
You will maintain the Logistics Carrier Database. As a member of the Global Logistics Sourcing team, you will be focused on business analytics in the areas of sourcing & carrier performance management. You will review logistics processes and procedures; identify, recommend, and implement improvements to maximize delivery efficiency while minimizing costs. This key role will work closely with the Global Logistics & Supply Chain teams along with segment and corporate leaders in the development of strategic plans and actions, while proactively engaging in supporting projects to ensure attainment of agreed upon performance goals across organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity across the business.
Utilize structured and unstructured data sets to create reporting that is descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and/or prescriptive to drive improvements.
Organize/Visualize data collected from various sources to effectively communicate key insights and takeaways leading to actions that drive desired business outcomes.
Develop and maintain tools and templates to document, manage, advise, and report on carrier risk and relationship management.
Research issues to identify potential problems and preemptively address them.
Stay up to date on the latest innovations in logistics and what competitors are implementing.
Address routine and unexpected disruptions to keep products moving.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and performance.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
B.S. required in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or STEM discipline.
5+ years’ of work experience with logistics data analysis, designing and implementing solutions.
Power BI, Pivot, Tableau, EDI, automate data
In-depth understanding of each mode of shipment (Truck Load, Less Than Truck Load, Ocean, Air, Parcel, US domestic/ International transportation).
Detail oriented and accurate.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with ambiguity, under pressure and tight deadlines and multiple projects at the same time.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Power BI, etc.)
Familiarity with SAP/Oracle ERP systems, TMS, Power Apps and Power Automate a Plus.
Experience working in cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders.
Experience using data and analytics to measure, track, and action KPI’s with a bias towards action and urgency.
