Job Description:

 

6+ years of strong hands on experience on Mainframe COBOL , Pervasive/Btrieve, DB2 and CICS.
Support and Maintenance:
Provide application maintenance and support for Mainframe front end applications and backend jobs
Available for On call (Need basis for critical issues) support for - 24X7 support
Resolving issues promptly within the SLA to minimize downtime
Provide root cause analysis for issues within the SLA
Provide code fix / solution for recurring issues
Conduct regular system maintenance activities to ensure performance/ availability
Development Experience
Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Design, develop, and implement custom solutions and enhancements based on business requirements.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams
Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, client teams.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed documentation for issues , cause , fix customizations, and support processes.
Create and update technical documentation, and knowledge base articles.
Tech Skills (Mandatory):
Experience with COBOL, JCL , CA7, CICS
Pervasive/Btrieve, SQL and DB2
Experience with Java / JavaScript.
Tech Skills (Preferred)
Experience with Unix
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
