Description

Responsibilities

  • Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical design specifications
  • Develop, test, and debug mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and SQL
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software solutions are aligned with business objectives
  • Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs in a timely manner
  • Optimize application performance and enhance system scalability
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
  • Document software changes and provide end-user support and training

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Proven experience as a Mainframe Developer or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages, including COBOL, JCL, and SQL
  • Experience with IBM mainframe systems and tools
  • Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
