About the Role:
Job Title: Mainframe Support Specialist


Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid)


Key Responsibilities:
Regularly monitor, maintain, and update mainframe systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
Provide technical support, analyze and resolve system errors, and coordinate with developers for application issues.
Implement performance tuning measures based on system metrics to enhance efficiency.
Implement security measures, ensure compliance with standards, and conduct regular audits.
Maintain detailed documentation, generate performance and incident reports, and keep records of system changes.
Work closely with IT teams, developers, and end-users, providing training and effective communication.
Assist in planning and executing mainframe projects, evaluating new technologies to improve operations.


Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, with 3-5 years of mainframe support experience.
Proficiency in mainframe programming languages (e.g., COBOL, PL/I, Assembler) and tools (e.g., JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF).
Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
