RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead end-to-end data migration projects from planning through to execution and post-migration support.
  • In partnership with Project Manager(s), prepare and present regular status updates, reports, and presentations to key stakeholders, leadership, and project teams on data migration progress, issues, and outcomes.
  • Manage conducting thorough data analysis, cleansing, and validation to ensure accuracy and integrity throughout the migration process.
  • Assist in the Implementation of robust data migration methodologies and best practices, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage design and execute test plans to validate migration processes and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Manage training and support to end-users on new data structures and processes.
  • Ensure migration activities are documented, technical documentation is created, and clear records of project milestones and deliverables are maintained.
  • Continuously monitor and report on project progress, identifying risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate synchronization meetings to ensure consistent delivery.
  • Promote a collaborative culture and transparency.
  • Mentor and guide teams on data migration best practices.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field, with a minimum of ten (10+) years of relevant industry experience; Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least six (6+) years of experience in data migration and project management, including substantial experience in the federal and state markets.
  • At least three (3+) years of oversight in data migration projects, programs, and/or practice areas.
  • Proven ability to influence decisions and build consensus across internal and external teams.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing data migration teams.
  • Deep expertise in data migration frameworks and optimization strategies.
  • Strong advocate for automation, with a history of implementing automated data migration processes.
  • Commitment to standardization and adherence to best practices in data migration.
  • Experience in providing oversight to ensure scalable and maintainable data solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery and effective stakeholder management.
  • Extensive experience in building, leading, and mentoring teams of skilled data professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Consultative approach to solving complex client challenges.
  • Ability to deliver compelling and effective senior-level presentations and demonstrations in both virtual and live environments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of business, technology, and data management principles, including strategic planning, organizational change management, and resource allocation.
  • Direct experience in one or more of the following areas: data migration, project management, process improvement, information security, and compliance within the government contracting industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of leading data migration best practices and methodologies.
