Manager - Tableau

Job Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports to visualize data stored in Hadoop ecosystem, including HDFS, Hive, HBase, and other big data platforms.

· Work closely with data engineers and data analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Tableau visualizations.

· Optimize Tableau dashboards and queries to ensure high performance and scalability on large datasets in Hadoop.

· Perform data analysis and troubleshooting to identify data quality issues and inconsistencies in the Hadoop environment.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and iteratively improve Tableau dashboards to meet evolving business needs.

· Stay up-to-date with the latest Tableau features and best practices, as well as advancements in the Hadoop ecosystem.

Skills:

· 8+ years of experience working as a Tableau Developer, with a strong portfolio of Tableau dashboards and reports.

· Proficiency in SQL and experience querying and manipulating data in Hadoop using tools like Hive, Impala, or Spark SQL.

· Solid understanding of Hadoop ecosystem technologies, including HDFS, MapReduce, YARN, Hive, HBase, and Spark.

· Experience optimizing Tableau dashboards and queries for performance on large datasets in Hadoop.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot data issues and recommend solutions.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

· Tableau Desktop or Server certification is a plus.
