Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description:

• Responsible for developing the assembly processes with the goal of meeting manufacturing targets using Lean Manufacturing principles.  And responsible for safety, quality, delivery, and the cost of the production process, as well as projects.
• Responsible for creating & maintaining work instructions, determining the appropriate manpower levels, and provide line support and service to production.
• Industrialize new products and process changes according to project gate plan deliverables with zero disturbance mindset.
• Responsible for determining the assembly sequence, time standards, line balancing, station design, and tooling requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement activities focused on ergonomics, cost efficiency, productivity and performance.
• Implement Industry 4.0 technologies with flexibility for product and volume changes. Participate in Global and regional Manufacturing Engineering networks to contribute and roll out Manufacturing Engineering strategies.
• Responsibilities may include Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision. Coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level professionals. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.

Job Requirements: 

• Requires 5 years relevant experience.
• Manufacturing Engineer focuses on designing, developing, and implementing new or revised production processes for the efficient/economical mass production of goods including:
  • Designing arrangement of manufacturing equipment to ensure most efficient and productive layout Designing the sequence of production operations, specifying procedures for the fabrication of applicable tools and equipment, and adapting machinery in response to factory conditions.
  • Conducting tests throughout all stages of production to determine control over applicable variables and troubleshooting/solving production problems.
  • Providing guidance to product design engineering on technical specifications that will best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensuring that production processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
• On Senior level applies advanced knowledge typically obtained through education and work.
