Location: Peoria IL. A bit of domestic travel. 20-30% Open to hybrid 1-2days
 

Dept overview. Manage SDEs, PCEs. Support components in the development of parts globally. Work with design engineers. Manage the apqp projects.
 

Role Attend collaboration meetings. Design engineers, buyers, etc. to find the best suppliers. Manage the apqp tasks

 

Top  skills
APQP/PPAP knowledge. Good knowledge and experience

Project management

Know how to read drawings and specs

Data analysis of different sources etc

Good communication and colloborative

Microsoft suite (excel and powerbi understanding too)

 

Education/experience

Engineering degree is mandatory

Prefers industry experience to internship

Knowledge of Aluminum and casting process is a plus

Position’s Contributions to Work Group:

-          Develop quality parts from source of supply for electronic components

-          Manage timeline for new product introductions at suppliers

 

 Typical task breakdown:

-          Collaborate with engineering to understand requirements

-          Collaborate with suppliers to explain requirements

-          Request for quotes and Negotiate costs

-          Develop quality of parts via APQP

-           Deep interaction with engineering and buyers
