Maritime Systems Engineer

Role

Monitor & maintain the efficiency of software supporting vessel operations in Maritime industry. Work closely with cross functional colleagues & vendors to triage, problem solve, enhance and keep up to date various applications. 
Administer applications including User Role provisioning following the security guidelines & organizational best practices.
Identify process gaps by effectively collaborating with the Business, participate in the requirement gathering, capture requirements for enhancements or new developments and translate them into functional, technical specifications.
Support Unit testing, Regression testing & User Acceptance testing and ensure the Test results are well-documented.

Qualifications

2+ years of IT Application experience in Maritime industry, strong technical knowledge of tools and technologies used to support vessel and crew activities
2+ years of hands-on experience supporting SaaS applications, and cloud environments (Azure or AWS) 
Strong organizational and collaboration skills
Experience in supporting multiple applications
Experience troubleshooting and root cause analysis 
Proven experience in engineering and software architecture design
Hands-on experience implementing simultaneous projects
