Master Data Services (MDS) Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled Master Data Services (MDS) Developer to join our team. As a vital member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Master Data Services solutions to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across our enterprise systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, design data models, and develop robust MDS solutions that meet the needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop Master Data Services solutions to manage critical business data such as customer, product, vendor, and employee information.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Develop data models, entity structures, and hierarchies in Master Data Services to support data governance and data quality initiatives.

Implement data validation rules, business rules, and workflows to enforce data consistency and integrity within the Master Data Services environment.

Integrate Master Data Services with other enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, and BI platforms to ensure seamless data flow and synchronization.

Perform data profiling, cleansing, and standardization activities to improve data quality and accuracy.

Provide technical expertise and support for Master Data Services administration, including configuration, security, and performance tuning.

Collaborate with IT teams to implement data integration solutions using technologies such as SSIS, SQL Server, and Azure Data Factory.

Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Master Data Management (MDM) and Master Data Services to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Master Data Services configuration, data loading, and system performance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Minimum of [8-10] years of experience in developing Master Data Services solutions.

Strong proficiency in SQL Server technologies, including T-SQL, SSIS, and SSRS.

Experience with data modeling concepts and tools, preferably with Microsoft Master Data Services.

Knowledge of data governance principles and practices.

Familiarity with data integration and ETL processes.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Microsoft Certified: Data Engineer Associate (optional but preferred).
