MBD Project manager

Job Description

Automotive Software Project Manager who has experience of managing Automotive software development projects with strong understanding in Automotive TIER 1 & OEM Processes & Project Management. This role demands working with Tier1 in Japan and Tier1’s Supplier located in France.

Experience in Powertrain, breaking systems etc. is a plus.

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Japan & English language proficiency. Japanese N2 (reading & writing)
• Strong experience using project management tools like PPT, XLS, MPP, SVN, JIRA, IBM DNG/EWM
• Knowledge of embedded C language development
• Knowledge of related standards (A-SPICE, ISO26262, AUTOSAR)
• Knowledge of microcontroller architecture
• Breaking down high-level requirements into lower level-subsystem requirements and designs
• Able to create project schedules for software development and manage progress
• Managing the completion of the requirements according to a project schedule
• Discuss with the customer teams to understand their needs and keep them informed of project status
• Communicate and coordinate project activities with the related customer project teams
• Inform stakeholders about all engineering changes or delays in order to adjust schedule, cost and/or specifications
• Implement countermeasures and escalate when project progress or results are unsatisfactory
• Undertake local engineering work for project activities where needed
• Participate in troubleshooting and propose sustainable solutions
• Good customer interaction skills, presentation and communication skills
• Experience in giving guidance to the team
• Experience in Project Management and handling medium sized teams

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech from reputed Institution / University
