Description

Job Description: Performs a variety of operations to assemble mechanical components, sub-assemblies and sheet metal enclosures. Works with assembly prints, wiring diagrams and schematics to assemble drawers, chassis, enclosures and racks. Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. Normally receives general instruction on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.

Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing hand soldering, wire harnessing and cabling on assembly units.

May be required to perform repair work as necessary.

Performs other duties as needed.

Performs routine go/no-go tests of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.

Sets up test devices using hand tools or automatic test methods.

Documents test results.

May maintain logs and records denoting malfunctions.

Requires production 18 months experience with vocational instruction in mechanical assembly.

Basic reading, writing, addition and subtraction skills.

The ability to work from established drawings.

Ability to use hand tools and testing equipment.

Completion of high school degree or equivalent is preferred.

Experience working in Oracle or Agile is a plus but not required.

Comments for Suppliers: :Manager is seeking candidates with mechanical assembly (NOT soldering skills), cabling (is ok), able to work with small tools, and manual dexterity. Candidates with backgrounds in medical device assembly are a good fit. Oracle and Agile experience is preferred but not required. Position is 100% onsite critical.
