Mechanical Design Engineer

A remote Mechanical Design Engineer job is currently available at Belcan. This is a full-time direct job with benefits. Great matching candidates will have at least five years of mechanical design engineering experience with gas turbine engines and a Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. You will be working closely with the aerospace component development process relating to gas turbine engines.

Mechanical Design Engineer job duties:
* Solid part modeling and drafting using CAD NX, Solidworks
* Perform geometric tolerance studies
* Perform structural analysis hand calculations
* Complete tasks using customer standard work
* Mentor and oversee less experienced design engineers
* Create and present at customer design reviews

Qualifications:
* Five+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering within aerospace
* Bachelor"s or Master"s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
* Proficiency in NX CAD software
* Gas turbine engine experience
* Ability to work within an integrated product development team
* Strong interpersonal skills
* US Citizen required due to nature of work
* Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain

Desired but not required skills:
* Experience with Quality Non-Conformances
* Skills with ANSYS Classic and/or Workbench
* Solidworks experience is a plus
