Description

  • Role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience per requirements below.  If the candidate does not have experience related to amusement park rides, they must have similar experience from aerospace or heavy manufacturing.  Designing components and assemblies that are under great force and stress is a must.
  • This is a producer role with no opportunity for moving into leadership for at least 5-7 years, so candidate must understand, and be ok, with this.

 

Header: We have a Mechanical Engineer position open in Orlando, FL. This position is responsible for mechanical engineering project requirements involving system design, structural calculations, acceleration forces, load calculations, material stress design, system installation, check-out support, and start-up assistance.

 

Must have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Stable work history
  • 5+ years in the following areas is preferred:
  • Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks is also desired
  • An in-depth understanding of mechanical systems, components, stress analysis, acceleration forces, and knowledge of amusement ride safety standards (ASTM Standards).
  • Develops drawings of mechanical design, assemblies, and installation procedures on AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks software.
  • Ability to design and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
  • Ability to perform system analysis/calculations including: Stress, fatigue, reliability, life expectancy, tolerance studies.
  • Knowledge of ride system design requirements for attractions involving guest accelerations, reach envelope, ingress/egress, weight, and emergency evacuation analysis and implementation upon control system failure in worst-case scenarios.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows and Office environments
