Description:
Responsibilities:
Lead Mechanical Engineering workstreams for sensor and actuator integration onto soft goods substrates for wearable hardware.
Partner with cross-functional researchers and engineers develop wearable architectures for AR/VR interaction.
Work across full product development cycle to deliver robust mechanical designs from concept to production
Required Qualifications:
BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent design experience
3+ years of experience working on high-volume consumer products
3+ years experience in 3D CAD modeling (NX) and physical prototyping
Demonstrated experience with manufacturing techniques (machining, 3D printing, injection molding, etc.)
Experience with component/system level modeling and optimization DOE and DFSS
Desired Qualifications:
5+ years of product design/prototyping and R&D experience, including subsystem ownership
Demonstrated experience developing designs for wearable technologies including sensors, materials, and haptics
2+ years experience designing handheld and wearable electronics for high-volume manufacturing
Demonstrated experience leading overseas suppliers in an ODM or JDM model
Comments for Suppliers: Prefer candidates with FA simulation experience (finite element analysis). Example programs are ANSYS and Com Sol.
