Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibility is to maintain and support the production lines while directing Maintenance personnel.
• This includes but is not limited to: PLC and robot programming & troubleshooting, manufacturing process improvements, mechanical improvements to tooling and equipment.
• Conformance to customer requirements.
• Must have programming experience with Allen Bradley & Siemens PLCs, and FANUC robots.

Experience:

• Knowledge of manufacturing concepts.
• Strong background in PLCs, Robotics, and error-proofing methods and equipment.
• Working knowledge of OHSA, other applicable legislation, TS 16949, IATF 16949.
• Experience in working with multiple discipline projects.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Excellent skills with Microsoft line of software products.
• Previous experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks is considered an asset.
• Previous experience with electronic torque assembly tools is considered an asset.
• Previous experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems is considered an asset.
• Previous experience in a Just-In-Time manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of problem resolution methodologies.
