Top 3 must-have HARD skills:

• 5+ years of mechatronic system engineering experience

• ExperienceProficiency with Python programming

• Experience programming collaborative multi-axis robots (UR, Fanuc, ABB)

 

Good to have skills:

• Experience with engineering verification concepts and measurement devices

• Knowledge of motion system component selection including motors and sensors

• Experience with statistical analysis and designed experiments

 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop methods to test and verify subsystem and product dynamic performance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Examples include mechanical parameters of user controls, customer-to-device interfaces, and signals from such devices

• Develop and qualify high-level control scripts in Python on custom mechatronics devices

• Verify device-under-test (DUT) wired/wireless data stream quality (noise, dropouts, run-to-run)

• Develop solutions as part of a cross-functional team (EE’s, ME’s, FW/SW and Systems Engineers)

• Develop and quality custom test methods on collaborative multi-axis robots

• Specify requirements for custom and OTS mechatronic and robotic test devices

• Report results to MDVE leads and PDE partners to improve product performance

 

Additional Opportunities:

• Analyze data and results from various tests on prototype subsystems and devices

• Review analysis results with peers, design engineers and cross-functional partners

• Design (CAD), procure, and assemble end effectors, fixtures, and tools

 

 

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

• 5+ years of applicable experience
