Job Title: Middle Level Linux/Unix System Administrator

Responsibilities:
- Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs.
- Install new/rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
- Implement and manage virtualization platforms such as VMware, KVM, and others.
- Handle storage management tasks utilizing platforms such as Netapp, Dell/EMC, Pure Storage, etc.
- Provide support for infra-automation tools, with a focus on Ansible.
- Manage Foreman deployment and system inventory systems (e.g., GLPI).
- Oversee network equipment management, including Cisco, Mellanox, etc.
- Configure and maintain systems supporting infrastructure and R&D activities.
- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
- Troubleshoot and configure storage equipment, collaborating with vendors when necessary.
- Configure and install EDA tools, FlexLM licenses, and troubleshoot software tool issues.
- Contribute to and maintain system standards and security posture.
- Research and recommend innovative, automated approaches for system administration tasks.
- Perform operations and support duties, including security patch management, system monitoring, backup operations, and user account management.
- Provide Tier III support and investigate/troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies during hardware or software failures.
- Apply OS patches and upgrades, manage instances of various tools like Jira, Git, LDAP, Jenkins, etc.
- Perform maintenance tasks including performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization.
- Provide after-hours and weekend support as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Linux/Unix system administration.
- Proficiency with virtualization platforms such as VMware, KVM, etc.
- Strong knowledge of storage management systems like Netapp, Dell/EMC, PureStorage, etc.
- Experience with infra automation tools, particularly Ansible.
- Familiarity with Foreman deployment management and system inventory systems (e.g., GLPI).
- Knowledge of network equipment management, including Cisco, Mellanox, etc.
- Experience with configuration and troubleshooting of EDA tools and software tool issues.
