Roles & Responsibilities:
- 24x7 Shift transition for middleware support w.r.t weblogic, SOA, other oracle middleware products.
- Performs Operation support for application infrastructure and platform incidents as needed.
- Ensures monitoring alerts and systems events are assessed, prioritized, and managed.
- Manages client impacting incidents including business impact assessment, technical resolution, engagement, and communications.
- Work closely with Product Hosting team and Application team to complete the ongoing maintenances e.g., migration of apps between/within Data Centers, adding new servers, updating firmware, SSL cert upgrades, Java, middleware patching/upgrades etc. and ensure minimal/no impact to customers.
- Handling Weblogic/SOA JVM (Java Virtual Machine) issues like out of memory, hang, crash and applying various performance tuning parameters to handle the server performance.
- Troubleshoot and provide service for product support in diagnosing, resolving and repairing server-related software malfunctions.Supports Disaster Recovery Tests.
- Works with Change Management/ Release Managers on the evaluation and implementation of change events.
- Deployments of applications in Oracle Weblogic/SOA servers via custom scripts or admin console. Attending live meetings/trainings with vendors, teams to resolve issue & understand deployment steps/doubts for deployments.
- Configuring and maintaining Weblogic/SOA server settings for OSB, JDBC, JVM settings, Data Source etc. 11) Raising SR with Oracle for issues which need to resolve on higher priority. Researching & suggesting Oracle Products, FMW in-built security and documenting benchmarking.
- Building High Availablity Setups for oracle products i.e. Weblogic/SOA with horizontal clustering across systems
