Description

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferred in Computer Science or an analytical discipline, or relevant work experience.
• Minimum ten years of hands-on application development or data management experience with at least three years in a technical team leadership role
• Minimum five years of experience with actuarial and/or financial systems
o Minimum five years of experience in:
• Insurance - Life & Annuity
• Application architectures
• APIs
• Programming languages
• Data management

Other Desired Qualifications:
• Strong leadership & organizational skills, ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Experience with the following major applications used in the Risk and Finance domain is a plus:
• PolySystems
• MG-ALFA
• Lawson (Infor) Financials
• Open-minded with proven ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to lead in a highly matrixed, heavily outsourced organization through a combination of influence, partnership, and authority
• Ability and interest in mentoring technical staff and raising our collective technical competencies
• Ability to manage IT Suppliers in a cost- effective manner
• Ability to assess IT Supplier Talent & application resource spend
• Ability to manage change and cope with complex and ambiguous situations
• Agile solution delivery skills highly desired
