Description

The Law Enforcement Trainer/Auditor is responsible to develop and/or present instructional programs for Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice staff on the RCIC/LEADS/NCIC systems, conduct external audits of Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice agencies and provide recommendations to improve or resolve deficiencies or non-compliance with State and Federal mandates and provide support to the RCIC clients.

4year bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Information Technology, Public  Administration, Education, or related field 

Ability to work in a team environment.
·         Complete assigned tasks.
·         Work effectively with diverse customers and colleague groups.
·         Effectively communicate in written and verbal format.
·         Ability to obtain and maintain certification by Ohio Law Enforcement Automated Data Systems (LEADS) and FBI NCIC, which requires fingerprinting and criminal background investigation.
·         Must have a valid Driver’s License
·         Conduct Train-the-Trainers sessions
·         Conduct Student Training sessions
·         Perform curriculum management.
·         Perform classroom facility setup and management.
·         Development of student and instructor guides
·         Development of job aids
·         Document course updates and apply version control.
·         Apply comprehensive grasp of most factors affecting area of responsibility regarding criminal justice.
·         Work irregular hours as needed.
·         Independently develop and perform audits in accordance with the auditing standards established by LEADS (Law Enforcement Automated Data Systems)
·         Prepare accurate and concise audit reports and recommendations for corrective action.
·         Independently develop and perform training in accordance with the training needs of the department to the external clients.
·         Public speaking
·         Utilize Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and various CLEAR/LEADS databases.
