CFD Research is seeking a talented Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) with an ACTIVE Secret clearance, to join a well-established team supporting the development of tools for Open Architecture Management Office (OAMO), at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. We are searching for an engineer with experience developing models and simulations in support of complex system analysis objectives.

Candidates must have Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML diagraming skills. The qualified candidate must also be able to work independently and have effective writing and verbal communication skills.

Basic Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Systems Engineering and 2+ years of related experience
  • Experience using Cameo
  • Experience using Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
    • Use Cases
    • State Machines
    • Sequence Diagrams
  • Experience in SysML diagramming tools
  • Knowledge of SOSA Technical Standard
  • Strong analytical and communication skills and ability to work individually and with teams



Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • Active DoD Secret clearance and ability to secure a TS/SCI
  • Knowledge of Teamwork Cloud (TWC)
  • Knowledge of Software/model repository environments
  • Knowledge of ASCIIDoc
  • Knowledge of GitLab
  • Knowledge of JIRA
  • Familiarity with any of the following standards
    • Government Avionics Reference Architecture (GARA)
    • Open Mission Systems/Universal Command and Control Interface (OMS/UCI)
    • Big Iron
    • Common Open Architecture Radar Programs (COARPs)
    • Resilient-Embedded Global Positioning System (R-EGI)


Location: This role is based in the Dayton, OH area, and is 100% onsite.
