Job Responsibilities:
Engage in MRB (Material Review Board) activities, managing NCs (Non-Conformances) and QN (Quality Notifications) for metallic parts/structures.
Perform detailed sizing of metallic parts/structures, including static and fatigue repairs/alterations/NCs using classical hand calculations.
Create substantiations for non-conformances on engine/structural metallic components.
Possess knowledge of metallic material properties.
Familiarity with elastomers (seals, diaphragms), assemblies, fluid systems, and electronic components is advantageous.
Utilize tools such as CAD modeling, SAP, PDM, Catia V5 (optional), SolidWorks, EPDM, FEM modeling, Ansys, tolerance stack analysis, MS Word, MS Excel, and Mathcad.
Apply aerospace structural/engines/systems knowledge. Experience with aircraft component certification reports and NC evaluation is beneficial.
Understand FAA and EASA specifications.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders including airworthiness teams, quality teams, manufacturing teams, design teams, stress teams, vendors, and suppliers.
Manage out-of-box returns (OOB) and drive RCCA for non-conforming products.
Handle MRB inventory and QN count metrics, reporting to customers daily.
Collaborate with the purchasing team to execute return-to-vendor (RTV) actions and issue concessions to end customers.
Potential travel to various suppliers depending on assignments.
Demonstrate ability to organize and prioritize tasks amidst changes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in science or engineering fields (Physics, Chemistry, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering). An associate’s degree in engineering with 4 years of professional experience in manufacturing/aerospace, or a diploma with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
US Citizenship required per ITAR regulations for export compliance and site SSA requirements.
Strong background in QNs/Concessions/MRB and providing frontline support to manufacturing operations. Knowledge of production and aerospace components is advantageous.
Strong reporting and communication skills, effective leadership at all organizational levels, and flexibility in approach.
Experience with problem-solving techniques (e.g., 5 Why’s, 8D, DMAIC).
Process control awareness is preferred.
Ability to obtain/maintain security clearance.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
Experience working with customer specifications and standards.
