  • Backup & Recovery: Proficient in setting up, monitoring, and testing backup and recovery techniques.
  • Database Performance Optimization: Ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in SQL Server.
  • HADR Configuration: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HADR) configurations, including Always On and replication.
  • Physical Database Design: Solid understanding of physical database design concepts.
  • SQL Server Installation & Upgrades: Proficient in installing and upgrading SQL Server environments.
  • Replication Management: Hands-on experience with SQL Server replication.
  • Process Documentation: Ability to review and update process documentation periodically.
  • 24x7 Production Support: Experience providing round-the-clock support for critical production systems.
  • Team Management: Excellent skills in managing and reviewing team performance, providing feedback, and handling escalations.
  • Client Communication: Strong ability to manage client communications and escalations.
  • Multi-tasking & Context-switching: Ability to handle multiple tasks and switch contexts effectively between different teams and activities.
  • Problem-solving: Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and fixing database issues.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment.
  • 8-10 years of experience in SQL Server in a production environment.
