Description

What We Are Looking For

Experience providing hands-on user support for applications (not just production monitoring).

Technical lead who has experience in trouble-shooting problems with business applications, such as configuration problems, user problems, permission issues, bugs in the application, browser problems, connectivity to internet, etc.

Technical Lead Who Can Mentor Less Experienced Staff.

Excellent communications skills for working with colleagues, users, and vendors.

Candidate with strong initiative and problem ownership mentality

Strong collaboration skills: City department staff, other technical staff, vendors, etc.

If the person has a background in application development, that would be great --- however, not required.

This position will not be doing application development. The ideal candidate would have 4 years of experience with development in their past but will have transitioned into a systems analyst role for the past few years. A person with that background would be great. However, a person who wants to do application development now would be very disappointed in this role.

Original Description

We are looking for someone flexible who can work with different stacks (.net would work). Most likely it would not be a lot of development, but mostly support.

This Contractor requisition position is eligible for contract-to-hire. Candidates who are interested in applying for the post-contract position are preferred. However, City employment is not guaranteed. Toward the end of the contract period, the contractor must still apply to a vacant City job posting and be selected through a formal and standard City interview process. It is not a straight contract-to-hire situation.
